Washington's 1796 Farewell Address included these three opinions as warnings:
1) The United States must never embrace political parties as that would divide the nation in dangerous ways
2) The United States must stay out of the business and conflicts of other nations
3) Our society is built on religion and morality and we cannot survive without these two pillars
Almost as soon as these warnings were made, the United States began to disregard all three.
