What Training Couses Does MECB Offer for Your Erasmus KA1 Projects?

MECB's short courses are normally of one week duration, people typically travelling in the weekend to Malta and leave the weekend after. However, MECB has also organized longer KA1 courses to satisfy the need of sending organisations. The following is a non-exhaustive list of courses available. Please contact us for details of each course and also to see how we can customize the courses to satisfy your training requirements.

COURSES

MECB_01: Exploiting Augmented Reality (AR) for Creating Joyful & Enriching Training Material*

The aim of this course is to collectively demystify Augmented Reality and make it readily accessible even to non-technical participants. This goal is supported by our past experience in being able to make participants competent in generating AR models in a short period of time. This course will provide participants with a good understanding of what AR is and how it can be practically exploited both for educational purposes and other application areas. Course date can be discussed with the Sending Organization to optimize the period schools will have their staff abroad. This course is modular and can be blended with other short training modules offered by MECB to provide an effective training programme during a one week visit to Malta. MECB_02: Digital Presentation Skills for Effective Teaching & Dissemination*

The aim of this course is to provide background and hands-on practice into how effective knowledge transfer can take place with the use of the correct digital presentatation techniques. By the end of this course, participants will be able to create attractive, professionally designed and effective presentations and/or social media posts addressing the needs of their specific target audience. MECB_03: Hands-on Digital Tools for Modern Teaching *

The aim of this course is to provide background and hands-on practice into how a range of digital tools including Spreadsheets and e-Learning Management Systems can be created and used to effectively assist educators in their daily work. By the end of this course, participants will be able to create effective e-Learning content for the specific needs of their target audience. On the other hand, spreadsheets can be used both for student exercises in a range of topics but also for managing for instance class assignment and exam marks. By the end of this short course, participants will be able to create and use spreadsheets. Courses can commence on dates being agreed at least 3 months in advance. MECB_04: Training For Teachers to Prepare Students for the 4th Industrial Revolution

The aim of this course is to enable staff and other stakeholders invovled in education to learn about the 4th Industrial Revolution going on and how this will impact the way people work. This training is important as teachers need to know and guides students through proper examples and case-studies. By the end of this course, participants will have a better understanding of Industry 4.0, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IOT) and other related technologies. MECB_07: Teaching STEM Subjects Through Augmented Reality (AR)

The aim of this course is provide a means by which STEM Teachers can effectively attract and engage students to these subjects. For this purpose, this course will besides providing a background to STEM training challenges, introduce participants to the technology of Augmented Reality.
