MDUSD COUNSELING

Welcome to the MDUSD Counselor's site. We designed this site to keep our students, our families, and our community in mind during this time of distance learning and remote counseling. We hope to provide you with updated district resources, mental health supports, and more. We wish you all good health and kindness to one another at this time.

"The most powerful buffer in times of stress and distress is our social connectedness. Let's all remember to stay physically distant, but emotionally close. Reach out and connect--text, zoom, facetime--share a smiling face." --Dr. Bruce Perry

MDUSD Counseling Mission Statement

We believe that all MDUSD students should have the ability to participate in rigorous, high-quality education programs that prepare them to be successful citizens of the larger community. The MDUSD Counseling program facilitates student support through program practices and partnerships with the school, family and community. The mission of the counseling program of the Mt Diablo Unified School District is to support, enhance and meet our students’ social, emotional, academic and career development needs. By serving all students TK-12, the counseling program provides age-appropriate services, removes barriers, and provides the belief that all students have the opportunity to follow their own path and discover new possibilities on the journey to graduation, college and career.
