Md Tanvir Hossan earned his MASc in Electrical and Computer Engineering from York University, Canada, in April 2021, following an MSc in Electronics Engineering from Kookmin University, South Korea, in 2018, and a BSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh, in 2013. His research expertise spans Deep Space Communication, Wireless Communications and Networking, Internet of Vehicles, Autonomous Vehicles, localization and navigation, and hardware design.
Currently, he is immersed in industry work in Canada, where he has spent the last three years gaining hands-on experience in advanced traffic management systems, cellular vehicle-to-everything communications, a crucial application for autonomous vehicle technology. This practical involvement enhances his already impressive portfolio, positioning him as a leading figure in the integration of academic research with real-world applications.
Tanvir's contributions to these fields are both substantial and widely recognized. He has co-authored 14 papers published in prestigious journals, including IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Communications Magazine, IEEE Communications Surveys and Tutorials, IEEE Access, and IEEE Consumer Electronics Magazine. Moreover, he has presented his innovative research at 11 IEEE-supported international conferences.
In addition to his research achievements, Tanvir is a valued reviewer for top-tier journals and international conferences. His ingenuity is further demonstrated by his authorship of five Korean patents, with four as the primary contributor. He has also made notable contributions to the IEEE 802.15.7a standardization for Short-Range Optical Wireless Communications and IEEE 802.15 for vehicular assistant technology. Tanvir's impactful research has earned over 1,450 citations on Google Scholar, underscoring his influence in the field.
