I am Md. Maksudur Rahman Shihab is a PhD Candidate at the Department of Oncological Sciences, the University of Utah, and a Graduate Research Assistant at Huntsman Cancer Institute. I have completed my M.Sc in Life Sciences at Shimane University, Japan, awarded Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) Scholarship and B.Sc in Microbiology from Jagannath University, Dhaka. My current research was on the functional identification of Base J DNA in Euglena.
I worked as a Research Assistant at the Department of Chemical Engineering & Polymer Science, Shahjalal University of Science & Technology, Sylhet, Bangladesh, under the project entitled Increment of alcohol yield of Carew and Co. Ltd. I have completed my Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) from the Department of Microbiology, Jagannath University, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
I have a profound interest in Cancer Epigenetics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Bioinformatics. I have a keen interest in how ATP-dependent chromatin regulation leads to cancer development. I have a desire to study further and do research according to my choices.
Apart from this, I love to write about science, especially in my arena. I am passionate about exchanging ideas with others who share my interests and views. I want to get incorporated into the breadth of science, to spread the beauty of science!
