Bio

Md. Alinur Rahman is a master's student in the Integrated Science and Technology (ISAT) department at Southeastern Louisiana University. He is a graduate research assistant on the Lake Maurepas Monitoring Project (August 2023—present), where his research focuses on identifying various contaminant sources in lake water through the application of multivariate receptor models. His work involves a comprehensive assessment of water, sediment, biological, and microplastic contamination levels, along with source apportionment studies using R programming. A recipient of the National Science and Technology (NST) fellowship from the Bangladesh Ministry of Science and Technology, Mr. Rahman is committed to advancing in environmental research, including air, water, and sediment; exploring pollution sources; and assessing their ecological, environmental, and human health risks.
