Thor movies lack a level of realism and intimacy, but this one embraces that fact and runs with it.

With the exception of a couple bouts of awfully cheesy dialogue, the movie is incredible. America Chavez is OK, Maximoff and Strange are both amazing. Freaky film... it's a good first step into a more horrific genre for Marvel. I almost wish they went a little darker for parts. The darkhold did its job well, and was perfect for this movie.

James Spader is incredible, and makes the voice/charisma of Ultron so so perfect. My only wish would've been giving Ultron even more power and intellect, really make him a force to be reckoned with, because conceptually he easily could be. It's a fun, rewatchable movie. It was my favorite of the movies for a long time.

It beats the first two Thors, and doesn't come close to Ragnarok. It tired too hard to "not try" and be another Ragnarok, so a lot of it felt too cheesy and some of the humor doesn't land. It's greatest strength is probably Gorr, who is underutilized, which is the greatest weakness of the film. It tried to be too many things and too many genres, but if it didn't do that, it would've surpassed Ragnarok. It felt cocky on Taika's part. Jane's story is great and well-explained, the emotion of it is good.
