I am a PhD candidate in the Agricultural and Applied Economics Department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, expected to graduate in May 2026. My research interests are in the areas of regional economics and community economic development. I currently focus on quality of life and rural livability, aiming to understand the dynamics contributing to thriving rural areas. I have also researched other topics including the rural-urban gap in financial literacy, willingness to pay for broadband, and the sex gap in life expectancy.
