Magic is a stunning piece eight-part choral piece inspired by the work of Tye Poetry. Inspired by the masterful imagery of "sunsets and rain", it features lush, intimate harmonies, creating a "bright and calm" atmosphere that your choirs will love.
Magic is also McIntyre Music's first piece with a vocal demo track! This will make it easier for directors and musicians to hear what the piece will sound like in performance.
This Cursed Hall is a powerful reflection on the halls of pride and ego we build, only for them to crumble and collapse on us, leaving us crippled in the dark. We try to reach for the pillars of achievement and clout we built to help us, but they crumble. Finally, we admit we need help, call out to a friend, and find new light in leaving the cursed hall that we built. The frequent rests and intricate rhythms resemble someone in great pain trying to get up only to stumble and fall again. The solemn alto melody evokes regret and pain, and the harmonies bring to mind the dark, crumbling hall.
