WELCOME GUESTS

The McDaniel story is more than just a list of names and dates; it is a legacy written across the highlands of Scotland, the ancestral lands of Ireland, and the expanding American frontier. As with many, the McDaniel path is defined by a spirit of resilience—from the families who traveled the overland routes from Tennessee and Kentucky, seeking new beginnings in the bustling river towns of Southern Illinois, to the pioneers who pushed further west to build lives in the rugged hills of the Missouri Ozarks. This archive is dedicated to preserving those stories, connecting the branches of the McDaniel family tree, and honoring legacy of those who came before.  The McDaniel Ancestry is a non-profit and non-government managed website and is completely free to all its guests.  Take the opportunity to also use the search bar in the top right corner.
