(2nd grade class pets :
Blue class : Lenard & Green class : Saki-chan)
(The students who takes Lenard/Saki-chan home are encouraged to record what he/she did with Lenard/Saki in the diary notebook in Japanese.
Please use the sample quotes below for your reference.)
Note to Parents: Per students’ requests, we received Lenard & Saki-chan from Ms. B. in 2018. They are class stuffed animals who goes home with one of the students/class every Tuesday. The student are encouraged to record what they did with Lenard/Saki-chan in the diary notebook in Japanese during the week.
Students are very excited to have Lenard/Saki-chan in our class room, and it has been a big motivator for them to write Japanese at home in the past years! Many students also took some pictures with him/her, and glue it to the diary notebook along with their writing/drawing.
Please make sure you send Lenard/Saki-chan back to school following Monday, so that other students have their turn to spend time with Lenard/Saki-chan. )
