Welcome!
I am so happy to be back in my hometown teaching at EMS this year! This is my third year teaching, and I'm excited to be covering 8th grade science, 7th grade science, and 7th grade health. I also am coaching 8th grade volleyball and 8th grade quiz bowl. If you need anything, please feel free to contact me!
7th Grade Health
In health we will be covering human development from birth to death, nutrition, hygiene, and physical activity.
7th Grade Science
In 7th grade science we will be covering states of matter, energy transfer, cells, genetics, and human body systems.
8th Grade Science
In 8th grade health we will be covering atoms, chemical and physical reactions, space, natural disasters, and human impact on the environment.
Classroom Philosophy
My goal is to give the students a hands on learning experience that will make them fall in love with science and push them to be lifelong learners. I believe in a safe learning environment where creativity and collaboration are encouraged and where students are active participants in their learning. I am so excited to see all that the students will accomplish and learn this school year!
