Install McAfee Activation code
To install McAfee with activation code the first thing we need is a McAfee activation code. If you have that then you need to redeem it on right McAfee website page depending on the Product which you have. Then you need to login to your McAfee account. From the McAfee account you will be able to download your product. Afterwards you can install it.
What is the McAfee activation code and where to find it?
A McAfee activation as you may already know is a kind of product key, which you will find on the McAfee retail card in case of store purchase. Here stores refer to physical stores like Walmart, Bestbuy, staples, etc.
See for 25 characters alphanumeric string on the retail card. It will look like below.
In the case of an online store, you will get your McAfee product key /activation code on your email address associated with that store or you will get it inside your that store account.
Open a Web browser on your computer like internet explorer or google chrome.
Type in URL www.mcafee.com/activate in the URL box of the Web browser and hit the enter from your keyboard.
When you will hit the enter key a new page will open on the browser and that is the page where you will redeem your McAfee activation code.
Put the Activation Code in the input form and submit.
Upon submitting the activation code you will find another web page that will ask you to log in to your McAfee account.
Log in to your McAfee account if you have one and then download your product from the download section.
After activating the Activation code/ Product key if you don't have a McAfee account
After activating the McAfee product key you will find the login window on the next page. Here if you do not have a McAfee account then you need to create one in order to log in and download your McAfee product.
For this, you just need to see on the right side of the log-in window page and you will find a register option, you need to click on that.
When you will click on that you will find a new form that will ask you some info like name, email, and a new password for your McAfee account just fill in all of that and click on "I agree" in the end.
Now check your email which you filled in that form and you will get an email for verification from McAfee. In this email you will find a verification link in your email, you need to click on that.
After clicking you will see the log-in Window again now login to your McAfee account and download your product from the download section.
Install McAfee with a serial after downloading McAfee with activation code
After logging in to your McAfee account when you will try to download your McAfee product, Upon downloading you will get a serial number. You need to copy that serial number as it will be used in the installation process-
Run the downloaded file and provide the serial number when asked.
Keep following the positive option coming on the screen by McAfee setup wizard.
Log in to your McAfee account when asked during the installation.
Upon logging in your product will be automatically activated and installed.
Check for any other antivirus product before installing your McAfee as a precautionary measure-
Check your system for any other antivirus before starting to install McAfee as installing another antivirus in the same system can create a conflict of resources in the system. To remove any other third-party antivirus application before installing McAfee in the system.
After removing an Antivirus from the system please restart your computer to completely remove it and then install McAfee.
Installing McAfee on an Android phone and any android device
To install McAfee on an Android device you need to open the play store in your device and then search for McAfee Now download the McAfee antivirus app and login to your McAfee account inside the McAfee app.
