MBG:VR Privacy Policy
Effective August 25, 2026 · Applies to MBG:VR on Meta Quest
This explains what information MBG:VR collects when you play, why, and who it's shared with. MBG:VR is a small independent multiplayer game — this policy covers exactly what the game does, nothing more.
1. Who this covers
MBG:VR is developed and published by iiaiden ("we," "us"). This policy applies to the MBG:VR application as distributed on the Meta Horizon Store for Meta Quest headsets. It does not cover Meta's own platform, account system, or store — those are governed by Meta's Privacy Policy.
2. Information we collect
MBG:VR is a multiplayer game, so playing with others necessarily involves some data moving between players and the services that connect you:
IP address, connection data — Required to establish a multiplayer session between you and other players, via Unity's Relay service.
Meta username, selected skin — Your Meta Quest username identifies you to other players in your session and stays consistent across sessions, replacing a manually-typed name. Shared with other players in that session along with your selected skin. Not stored on any server we control after the session ends.
Meta profile picture — Shown only to you, in MBG:VR's main menu. It is never sent to other players and never transmitted over the network.
Meta friends list — Used locally to show you your Meta friends when starting or joining a session, so you can invite them to play. We don't store your friends list.
Invite data — When you invite a friend or accept an invite, Meta's own invite system handles the connection. We don't keep a record of invites sent or received.
Meta blocked users list — Used locally to filter players you've blocked out of visibility and proximity voice chat within your own sessions. Not transmitted anywhere else.
Meta entitlement status — Meta's platform confirms you own MBG:VR before letting you play. This check is performed and handled by Meta — we receive only a pass/fail confirmation, not your Meta account credentials.
Local game settings — Render/simulation distance, volume, chosen skin, and similar preferences are saved only on your own headset. They're never transmitted to us.
What we don't collect: MBG:VR has no account system of its own — it relies entirely on your Meta account for identity — and no analytics or telemetry, no advertising, no crash-reporting service, and no server-side database that stores your play history or personal information. If it isn't listed above, we don't collect it.
3. How we use this information
To let you connect and play with other people in real time, identified by your Meta username. To verify, through Meta, that you're entitled to play MBG:VR. To show your Meta profile picture to you in the main menu. To let you see and invite your Meta friends into a session, and to let you accept invites from them. To keep players you've blocked on Meta out of your own sessions' visibility and voice chat. To remember your own device settings between sessions. We don't use anything collected here for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond running the game itself.
4. Who we share it with
We don't sell information, and we don't share it with advertisers. Two services are involved in running MBG:VR:
Unity Technologies — provides the Relay service that connects players in a multiplayer session. Connection data may be processed in Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Singapore, Taiwan, or the United States, depending on where Unity routes the session. See Unity's Privacy Policy (https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy).
Meta Platforms, Inc. — provides the Quest platform, the entitlement check confirming you own the game, and your username, profile picture, friends list, invites, and blocked users list through Meta's Platform SDK. See Meta's Privacy Policy (https://www.meta.com/legal/quest/privacy-policy/).
Other players in your session can see your username, skin, and in-game actions — that's the normal, visible part of playing together, not a separate data disclosure.
5. How long we keep it
Multiplayer session data (connection info, who's playing with whom) exists only for the duration of that session and isn't retained by us afterward. Settings stored on your device stay there until you change them or uninstall the app — that's entirely in your control, not ours.
6. Children's privacy
MBG:VR is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. This is reinforced by Meta itself, which restricts access to profile data like username, profile picture, and friends list for accounts under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us using the details below and we'll address it.
7. Your choices
Since MBG:VR doesn't maintain an account or server-side profile for you, most of what there is to control already lives on your device: you can change or clear your local settings at any time, and uninstalling the app removes everything stored locally. For anything else, reach out using the contact information below.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to keep the systems MBG:VR relies on secure, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to this policy
If MBG:VR's data practices change — for example, if a future update adds analytics or accounts — we'll update this policy and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be noted clearly rather than made silently.
