This Privacy Policy explains how Mbeck Business ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and secures your information when you use our point-of-sale and business management mobile application (the "App").
Our App requests specific Android device/network permissions necessary to provide core Point-of-Sale (POS) features:
Camera Access (android.permission.CAMERA): We use your device's camera exclusively to scan barcodes on inventory items or scan QR codes. Images are processed locally and are never stored on our servers.
Location & Local Network Access (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / mDNS): Required to connect to local area networks (LAN), pair thermal receipt printers, and broadcast the POS server locally via mDNS. This broadcast allows nearby customers using the Mbeck Go buyer app to discover your shop and connect directly over peer-to-peer (P2P) Wi-Fi.
Important: This local broadcast strictly limits transactions to devices on the same Wi-Fi router. We do not track, save, or transmit your GPS geographic coordinates to the cloud.
Network & Foreground Sync: Used to securely sync transactions and inventory changes to our encrypted cloud backup while the app is active or in the background.
We store your profile data (Email, Business Name) and your business transaction history securely using standard encryption.
Mbeck Business is a Behavioral Risk Signal Provider and not a lender.
Consent-Based Sharing: If you choose to use the "Partner Financing" section, we may share aggregated business metrics (such as sales volume and consistency) with third-party financial institutions to determine your eligibility for financing.
Opt-In Only: No financial signal data is shared with third parties unless you provide explicit consent within the App.
Data Scoped: We never share your personal identity, customer details, raw transaction line items, or AI visual data with these partners.
We use secure third-party infrastructure to power Mbeck Business:
RevenueCat: Used securely to validate and process your software subscriptions natively through Google Play Billing.
Google Play Services: Handles secure payment processing.
Supabase: Provides our secure, encrypted cloud database.
You retain full ownership of your data. You may request account deletion or export your database via the in-app settings or by contacting our support team at [Your Support Email].
