Dr. Mayur Shirish Jain is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IITI). Before joining IITI in 2021, he worked as Assistant Professor at NICMAR, Pune from 2019-2021. He has experience in the environmental industry between 2013-2014, and later, he became faculty at Pune University from 2014-2015. He did his Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from R T M Nagpur University, India, and, then, pursued his Master of Technology from S V National Institute of Technology, India, from 2011-2013. He earned his Doctoral Degree in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG), Guwahati, India. Solid waste management is one of his core areas of research interest.
He has more than 25 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences of repute. He has also chaired many international conferences and is a member of the National Advisory Committee for different conferences. He is also worked as Visiting faculty at the Institute of Infrastructure Studies and Construction Management (IISCM), Pune, India. He was awarded the "Young Achievers Award" in 2020 by INSc, India.
This lab usually has 1 to 2 vacancies (each year) to accommodate highly motivated PhD students who are interested in working on projects related to experimental and modeling of Solid Waste Management, Soil Revitalization, and Water Quality and Contaminants of Emerging Concern can email me at mayur.jain@iiti.ac.in.
