In her lower registers, her voice is softer and more airy, while in the higher registers she has a more intense timbre.
She has a broad range, which switches from a chest voice to a head voice in the highest registers.
Her voice is suited for a large range of musical genres and styles.
Her voice has a good flexibility in terms of pitch and timbre.
Various of her consonants can be reproduced alone across extended notes without a vowel. The fricatives [f], [s], [S], [x]; the nasals [n], [m], [J]; and liquid [l] stand well this, allowing use them in a syllabic way. Other phonemes like the [rr] can be reproduced alone as well, but suffer heavy distortion when they are without an adjacent note.
In their raw state, MAIKA's [x], [s] and [S] phonemes are strong and louder compared to any other phoneme in the library, and needs proper tuning to avoid the pronunciation issue.
2 Job Plug-ins were developed for MAIKA. The first converts Japanese VSQx files into the closest equivalent in Spanish phonetics and the second does the same but for English.
MAIKA’s [b], [g] and [d] can be close to her [B], [G] and [D].
She doesn't have the aspirated phonemes that are used in English.
