Personal Statement

I am currently a senior at Saline High School in the class of 2022. After seeing my sister play field hockey, I developed a keen interest in the sport. As a result, I decided to join my club, Fer De Lance, to further my field hockey skills. Since then, I have been competitively playing field hockey in high school and club, which has allowed me to develop as a player and person.

I am a highly motivated student, pushing myself to excel in academics, specifically within math and science. Maintaining a high GPA accompanied by taking complex courses and various extracurriculars, I have earned the spot of top 5% within Saline High School. In the future, I hope to attend a college that will challenge me both academically and athletically. Currently, I am looking to pursue a career in medicine.

My past and present coaches describe me as a dedicated player who puts 110% out on the field. I not only push myself but drive those around me to perform better using my leadership skills. I am known for my ability to distribute the ball utilizing my field awareness and my stick skills. I hope to contribute to a field hockey program using my leadership ability and field hockey skills in the future.
