1. Read and guess a holiday / Прочитайте та вгадайте свято за описом (назву свята запишіть у зошит)

1. People bake buns and paint eggs. They go to the church and thank the God. On this day a bunny brings chocolate eggs.

2. Children go to the neighbouring houses and say “trick or treat”. People give them sweets. The scariest day of the year.

3. We have a meeting on this day. People honor the memory of the soldiers. They go to the monument of Unknown Soldier and put flowers.

4. On this day men prepares presents for their women. Children say about their love to the moms. It is a holiday of spring and a woman.

5. We don’t go to bed early on this day. We wait till a clock strikes 12. We have a tree in a house and wait for present from an old man.

6. Ukrainian people celebrate the holiday in summer. They have meetings, much funs and fireworks. It is a day of the country.

7. People prepare tasty dishes, buy presents. Ukrainian and British celebrate the holiday but on different days.

This holiday is very popular among the children so Bohdan __________ (to be) happy to take part in it. Before the holiday Mike and Bohdan __________ (to prepare) special costumes. Mike__________ (to make) a costume of a skeleton and Bohdan __________ (to prepare) a costume of a ghost. Mike’s mother __________ (to cook) a lot of tasty food for the party. In the evening of October, 31 many Mike’s friends __________ (to come) to his house.

They all __________ (to have) costumes of witches, ghosts and skeletons. The children ___________ (to eat) sandwiches, pizzas and cakes, ___________ (to dance), __________ (to sing) songs and __________ (to play) funny games. Then the children __________ (to go) «Trick or Treat». They __________ (to walk) from house to house, said «Trick or Treat» and people gave them fruit and candies. Bohdan _________ (to like) this holiday very much. . In Ukraine Halloween is not celebrated and now he wants to prepare a Halloween party for his friends at home and tell about this tradition at school.
