ABOUT MAYA

Maya Riv is a 21-year-old guitarist from Sydney's Inner West specialising in psychedelic rock/pop lead guitar. Maya is a current third-year undergraduate student at The Conservatorium of Music in Sydney, studying a major in Contemporary Music Practice and a Minor in Marketing. Maya is known as a powerful presence on stage across Australia, and can be seen with big hair, versatile riffs and licks, and cutting-edge tone. 

She is a 2025 + 2026 Pulse Artist for PRS Guitars and has a viral TikTok account (@mayarivguitar) amassing over 492k likes. On the side, Maya works casually in the Music Industry as an Administrative Assistant, with experience at Touring, Label and Artist Management company Chugg Music and currently at independent Booking Agency, Select Music. 

Maya is proficient in contemporary genres such as Pop, Rock, Indie, Metal, Electronic, RnB and Musical Theatre. Maya has experience using IEMs (Sennheiser IEM 100 Pro), and playing at festivals and events all over Australia.
