Maya Mobile Discount Code EDC10OFF: From Homepage to Active eSIM Fast

What the quick start involves

Buying a travel eSIM from Maya Mobile is a short online process: pick a destination plan, pick a duration, create an account, pay, then install the eSIM from a QR code. The discount code EDC10OFF takes 10% off the plan price and is applied at checkout before payment, so it fits into the flow without adding a separate step of its own. The only part that needs planning is installation, which requires an internet connection and is best done at home over Wi-Fi rather than at the airport.

Before you open the site

Two things are worth confirming first, because neither can be fixed at checkout. The phone must support eSIM, which is standard on recent iPhone, Samsung Galaxy and Pixel handsets; carrier-locked phones and older models may be excluded, and the full compatibility list is on the Maya site. You also want to know your destination and trip length, since plans are sold in fixed durations of typically 3, 7, 14 and 30 days.

The five-step order

Open the Maya Mobile site at maya.net or the Maya app and choose a destination, or the global unlimited plan if you are covering several countries.
Select the plan length using the duration or billing-cycle selector.
Create an account or sign in, so the eSIM is tied to your account.
On the checkout or payment screen, enter EDC10OFF in the promo or discount code field and confirm. In the app the field sits in the order summary before payment; on some screens it is collapsed behind a "Have a code?" link, so expand that before assuming there is nowhere to type.
Check that the total has dropped by 10% before you submit payment. If the figure has not moved, the code has not registered, and it is easier to sort out now than after the charge.

Getting the eSIM onto the phone

After payment, the eSIM arrives as a QR code by email and is also stored inside your account. On iPhone you can scan the QR with the camera, or press and hold the image to add the eSIM. On Android the install option sits in mobile network settings. If scanning is impractical, for example because the QR code is on the same phone you are installing to, manual entry with an activation code is available.

Installation needs an internet connection, so do it before you leave rather than on arrival. The profile then stays on the phone, and future plans can be bought against it without reinstalling.

First few minutes after landing

Three settings turn the purchase into working data:

Set the Maya eSIM as the cellular data line.
Turn data roaming on for the Maya line, since it roams onto local partner networks.
Turn data roaming off on your home SIM, so your usual carrier does not charge you.

Your home number stays active for calls and texts throughout, because the Maya line only handles internet.

Things that shape the result

Several Maya unlimited plans carry a daily high-speed allowance, after which speeds can change for the rest of the day. The exact allowance differs by plan and is stated on the plan page, so read it before choosing. Alongside unlimited options there are traditional prepaid plans measured in gigabytes for specific countries and regions, plus coverage on a number of cruise lines. Entry pricing for the shortest plans starts in the sub-$10 range.

On the code itself: percentage discounts usually apply to one plan purchase and normally do not combine with another promotion, and whether EDC10OFF stacks with anything else is not stated. A discount taken on a first purchase should not be assumed to carry over to auto top-up renewals, and auto top-up can be left off if you do not want the plan to renew.

Maya publishes a refund policy for eSIMs that cannot be installed or do not work, with limits tied to data already used. The specifics of that policy, and the data-use thresholds involved, are set out on the site and worth reading if installation does not go smoothly.
