I was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. When I was young, I participated in math olympiads, which eventually led me to study mathematics in college. I earned my bachelor's degree in the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon. Now, I'm a second-year Ph.D. student at the University of Virginia.
