"YOU FILLED ME UP WITH HATE"

Before the Great War, he was called Glitch. With the power to render non-sentient machinery inoperable via touch, he was enrolled in the Jhiaxian Academy to better understand these powers. Marred by Empurata, he was shunned as an outcast among Cybertronian Society. But as an outcast, he would discover the writings of Megatron, a miner who had become a revolutionary.

The more he read, the more he felt understood. The more he felt understood, the more he in turn understood. He was being deceived, all of Cybertron was. But not Megatron, and only his path could lead Cybertron to the light. So when the Great War would begin, is it any question where Glitch would end up? Glitch would join the Decepticon cause as one of its most loyal followers.

Glitch would find himself the commandant of the Grindcore Prison Camp, overseeing the torture and execution of prisoners. But it wasn’t enough. Not when there were still traitors and deserters. Not when Megatron’s goals were unrealized.

The solution was the Decepticon Justice Division, a group of Decepticons tasked with hunting down those deemed detrimental to Megatron’s goals, and introducing them to levels of pain so incomprehensible that those who hear of the DJD’s deeds will stay the course out of fear. Glitch, now naming himself Tarn after one of the first five cities to be liberated by the Decepticon Cause, would lead these Decepticons, upgraded with the ability to kill even sentient machinery with only a whisper.

But his devotion to the cause has become his obsession. It is not enough to believe in Megatron’s words, he must recite them as though they were the holiest scripture. The cause must become everything he is, and everything he fights for.

To every other Cybertronian, Autobot and Decepticon alike, Tarn and the DJD are nothing more than sociopathic sadists under Megatron’s command. But Tarn knows the truth. He is only the extension of Megatron’s will, and he must see it through to the end.

Megatron believes in “Peace Through Tyranny”, and Tarn is very devoted to Megatron’s ideals of peace.
