After everything with Olive and Calamity, something awoke in Maps. Maybe it was destined to happen regardless, or maybe it was a byproduct of helping to save her friend, but somewhere in the deepest corners of her mind, Maps knew that this wasn't going to be the last time she played the role of a hero. But the problem with that was that she wasn't a particularly good fighter. Sure, she had worked with Dami to take down Two Face and his men when they broke into Wayne Manor, but she'd be the first to admit she got lucky then, and she couldn't get lucky all of the time. There had to be something she could do, something more than solving schoolyard mysteries.

Ambition would lead Mia to Barbara Gordon, the first Batgirl and Oracle of Gotham. And it was here where Maps found her calling. She was never a good fighter, she would admit that much for free... but do you know what she was good at? Processing information. And not just processing information, but using that information too. Not to mention, her knack for cartography made Mia a damn good navigator as well. She didn't need to be on the frontlines to help people; she could be supporting them herself, without putting herself in danger and worrying her family (if they ever found out, that is). Mia would apprentice under Oracle, and take on the code name of Pythia.

In an alternate future, Earth's heroes would fall at the hands of Lex Luthor and his Legion of Doom. But his victory would be short lived, as Brainiac would emerge and defeat the survivors. Desperate to avert this timeline, Lex Luthor would retreat to the past, approximately fifteen years before the fall of the Justice League and bring with him Brainiac's Exobytes: a nanite the size of a flea, containing Brainiac's multitudes of knowledge on super-human abilities, magic, and the skills of the world's greatest heroes and villains. Lex Luthor unleashed the exobytes indiscriminately from orbit, letting them fall to Earth and bestow their abilities on the multitudes for the sole purpose of giving Earth a fighting chance against Brainiac. By the sheer volume of exobytes, they found their way to Gotham City. And within Gotham City, Mia Mizoguchi was but one of many humans affected by the exobytes.

It took a while for some of these abilities to manifest themselves. Or rather, it took some time for Maps to realize that she had these newfound abilities. But within time, she would discover that seemingly overnight, she's become proficient in hand-to-hand combat, gymnastics, stealth, infiltration, and the use of a bo-staff. In other words? Just about all the physical skills one would need in order to become Robin. With all of these new skills from seemingly overnight... Maps has gotta make use of them, right? And after talking to Damian Wayne, the two reached the same conclusion: Who said that there's such a thing as too many Robins?

[This AU is heavily inspired by the MMO/RPG DC Universe Online, especially with the Exobytes being how Maps was suddenly skilled enough to be Robin. Please also keep in mind that Maps has no idea how that happened. Aside from that, all information from my main verse for Maps plus the larger DCU applies]

This was hardly the way Maps had expected her life to turn out. Sure, from the moment she decided Damian was the one for her, she knew things were going to be weird. But moving to the Himalayas after Damian killed his grandfather, and becoming the Lady of the League? Not even in her wildest dreams. Still, she had valuable skills in detective work, and cartography, that makes her an invaluable strategist to the League. She never expected her life to turn out like this, but maybe it wasn’t so bad, either.
