MaxForge ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Android application handles your information. MaxForge is designed as a privacy-first, offline utility tool for strength training.
2. Information Collection and Use
2.1. Personal Data
MaxForge does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers. The app functions entirely offline.
The app locally saves the following user inputs to your device using Android's SharedPreferences to improve your user experience and provide core functionality (such as the 1 Rep Max calculation and History Log):
Lifting Data: Weight lifted and Repetitions.
Body Metrics: Body Weight (optional) and Gender (optional) - used solely to calculate your "Strength Standards" (e.g., Titan, Warrior).
Preferences: Unit settings (Metric/Imperial), Calculation Formula preference, and RPE settings.
2.2. Usage Data and Analytics
MaxForge does not use any third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics or Firebase). We do not track how you use the app, nor do we collect crash reports remotely.
3. Data Storage
All data entered into MaxForge is stored locally on your device.
Persistence: Your data is saved in a local file within the app's private storage directory.
Deletion: You can clear your lifting history at any time using the "Clear All History" button within the app. Uninstalling the app will also permanently remove all locally stored data.
4. Permissions
MaxForge adheres to a Zero-Permission philosophy. The app does not request access to:
Internet / Network State
Location (GPS)
Camera or Microphone
Contacts or Storage Files
5. Sharing Your Data
MaxForge includes a "Share" feature that allows you to share your results (e.g., "Estimated 1 Rep Max") with other apps on your device (like social media or messaging apps).
User Controlled: This action is initiated solely by you.
Mechanism: We use the standard Android Intent.ACTION_SEND. We only pass a text string to the app you select. We do not share this data with anyone else automatically.
6. Advertising
MaxForge is completely ad-free. We do not use any advertising SDKs (such as AdMob) and do not display any commercial advertisements.
7. Children’s Privacy
MaxForge does not address anyone under the age of 13. Since we do not collect personal information, we do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
