I’m a Senior Economist at the New Economics Foundation (NEF) and an elected councillor representing Brentford on Hounslow Council, where I serve as the Cabinet Member for Finance and Resources.
I’m interested in the economic forces that shape people’s living standards, including growth, the labour market, housing, welfare, and the wider macroeconomy.
At the New Economics Foundation I research how these forces shape living standards across the UK. As a councillor, I see how those same forces play out in everyday life through wages, rents, local services, and the pressures residents face.
My aim is to understand the sources of prosperity wherever the evidence leads, and to think about how it can be directed toward the residents I represent in Brentford, and people like them across the country.
