My research focuses on advancing quantum algorithms with applications in physics and engineering. My work encompasses several key areas, including Hamiltonian simulation, quantum algorithms for linear equations, quantum differential equation solvers, and quantum algorithms for combinatorial optimization. Additionally, I have work on the capacities and limitations of variational algorithms.
I’m interested in computational complexity theory as a way to understand the computational power of quantum computers and also as a tool to understand the hardness of various problems in physics. I aim to deepen the understanding of quantum computational advantages and address computational problems in physical systems.
