Welcome!

I'm Maureen Lauer-Gatta and I'm very honored you are here.

I'm a creative mindfulness guide that is a multi-passionate human open to our interconnected elemental nature seen through our personal lens.

My mission is to shine the light on the amazing being you already are and allow you to see the gifts that are available and innate within each of us.

As a guide and teacher, I work with those that, just like you, are ready to start to live a life of more authenticity and wholeness to develop more purpose and meaning every day. This guidance is created through the development of personal insight and experiential understanding creating more personal trust, inner peace, and fulfillment through Mindfulness, awareness, kindness, and compassion.

Each moment and each being is a guide through life, working with and embracing the comfortable and the uncomfortable, the easy and the challenging. I am incredibly grateful for each of these teachers along the way unraveling the hooks of the ego and the self, opening the door to greater trust, wisdom, and understanding of what is and what life is about; true joy and connection with Self.

In my previous life, I was a civil engineer for 4 years. While I was a civil engineer I started to practice yoga and that was in 1999. In 2003 I became a yoga teacher and in 2005, after many requests and personal resistance, I began to certify others to teach yoga. In 2010 I became the owner of The Yoga Room. This was an honor for me because the day I walked into a yoga class in 1998 is the day that changed my life. Just before the pandemic began, I closed the doors to The Yoga Room at the beginning of 2020 and opened the doors to teaching virtually, which I still do to this day. I am also a part-time adjunct teacher of Mindfulness at Youngstown State University since 2015.
