Visuals with a purpose. This portfolio showcases samples of my design and layout work across industries and formats—brochures, flyers, signage, ads, postcards, and more. While my recent roles have leaned toward marketing automation and systems strategy, this body of work reflects the creative foundations that continue to shape how I build, communicate, and lead.
Nurture Newsletter (Mockup): Designed from scratch—copy, layout, and assets—to showcase strategic storytelling aligned with brand goals.
Partner Conference Email: Event-specific messaging crafted to drive engagement and represent the brand’s voice clearly.
San Jose Sharks Event Banner Email banner designed for a co-hosted event with the San Jose Sharks—concepted in two versions to align with brand tone and audience appeal. Final selection: the version on the right, deployed across campaign touchpoints.
Dialogue External Newsletter: Concepted, built, and distributed monthly to inform and activate the subscriber base.
YouTube Web Series (Pilot) Conceived and produced a raw, conversational video series to replace slide deck–style webinars with authentic SME discussions. Designed for consistency and ease of execution, I led every aspect—concepting, sourcing AV equipment, directing, filming, and editing. While the pilot playlist launched, limited leadership buy-in led to the project’s early retirement.
Alternate eBook Ad Design The original concept didn’t quite spark excitement—so I built an alternative design to shake things up creatively. While it never made it to deployment, the redesign was a spontaneous exercise in visual storytelling and brand alignment. Sometimes, unused ideas are still proof of instinct.
Dialogue Newsletter (External) Monthly newsletter built and distributed to a broad subscriber base—developed end to end to reflect brand voice, engage readers, and share timely updates. From layout to launch, I owned the process with consistency and polish.
Webinar Landing Page (Joomla CMS) Built and deployed a custom webinar landing page using Joomla—optimized for registration flow, branding alignment, and streamlined content delivery. A fast-turnaround solution designed to meet user experience goals within platform constraints.
Internal Newsletter Redesign: Refocused corporate culture comms to spotlight employee stories—guinea pig status: earned.
ACME Business Cards: Full visual identity execution, including custom illustrations, layout, and brand architecture.
Beach Towel & Picnic Swag: Summer vibes meet brand recognition—yes, I design towels.
All America Threaded Products Postcard Designed a front-and-back postcard for Acme’s All America Threaded Products subsidiary—developed to visually reinforce product identity and brand presence. Layout, artwork, and final formatting handled end to end.
Postcards (Various Lines): Product photography, Photoshop cleanup, and final output all handled personally.
Product Photography & Cost Savings Initiative I leveraged my hands-on photography background—yes, back when film development was still part of the gig—to bring product photography in-house. By handling shoots, editing, and production myself, I eliminated the need for third-party vendors. The result? A direct savings of $12,000, compared to the last outsourced project. What started as a proof of concept quickly evolved into a sustainable solution backed by gear investments and a custom light booth.
Holiday Card Redesign: From “same-old” to seasonal refresh—visual upgrade approved (at least by me).
Benefits Guide & Sales Sheets: Illustrated assets woven into practical, on-brand documentation.
Lawn Edging Sales Sheet: Product illustrations and layout built to clarify use cases and enhance brand visuals.
Correctional Healthcare Companies Business Cards
Correctional Healthcare Management Mental Health Brochure Designed the front and back of a tri-fold brochure showcasing CHM’s mental health program offerings. Built for distribution at industry trade shows and conferences, this piece balanced accessibility and professionalism—giving prospective clients a clear, polished introduction to CHM’s behavioral health services.
Correctional Healthcare Management Sales Booklet (Idaho Edition) Designed a visually impactful cover for CHM’s regional sales booklet targeting client engagement in Idaho. As the most graphic-heavy component, the cover set the tone for the data-driven content that followed—primarily charts and service details. Distributed by the Northwestern sales manager, this piece was created to make a memorable first impression with potential clients in a competitive healthcare market.
CHM U.S. Market Visualization Crafted a custom map visual showcasing CHM’s dominance in Colorado and footprint across the continental U.S. When no usable vector file could be found, I drew each county by hand—line by line, using vector tools—to build a fully original design. Ironically, years after the project (and after I’d moved on from CHM), a casual Google search surfaced exactly the kind of source file I’d originally hoped for. Let’s just say my wrist remembers the effort more than the algorithm does.
CHM Trade Show Banner (Idaho) Designed and produced a 72"x36" vinyl banner for CHM’s sponsored trade show in Idaho—strategically placed above the registration area for maximum visibility. Beyond the design, this project tapped into my expertise with print production, vendor coordination, signage materials, and large-format logistics. I managed the entire process—from concept to final installation—ensuring quality, clarity, and on-brand delivery every step of the way.
Health Professionals, Ltd. Trade Journal Ad Designed a print ad for Health Professionals, Ltd.—a subsidiary of Correctional Healthcare Companies—tailored for placement in a trade journal ahead of a major industry event. The piece was built to deliver visual impact and brand clarity, aligning with CHC’s overarching messaging while spotlighting HPL’s specialized healthcare services.
Real Estate Brochure (Pro Bono Project) Created a tailored real estate brochure as a favor for a friend years after stepping away from the industry. The design and messaging reflected the same professional polish I brought to my role as a marketing assistant at RE/MAX Masters—where I handled everything from property flyers to office-wide communications. Though unpaid, the project was rooted in expertise and built to deliver real value with a personal touch.
RE/MAX “Home” Teams Quarterly Newsletter Designed, printed, and hand-assembled this quarterly newsletter for RE/MAX “Home” Teams during my time with K.C. Butler—covering everything from layout to folding, stuffing, and USPS metering. It not only reflects a deep understanding of bulk mailing and analog-era print processes, but also a work ethic shaped in the trenches of tactile marketing.
Digital may rule now, but this piece is a nod to the pre-hyperdigital hustle. Gen X roots, rolled up sleeves, and the unmistakable scent of ink and envelope glue.
RE/MAX “Home” Teams Classified Ads Yep—before LinkedIn and algorithm-driven job boards, we combed the classifieds. These print ads, placed in local papers during my time with RE/MAX “Home” Teams, were designed for impact in tight spaces—maximizing visibility within modest column widths and word counts. A masterclass in concise messaging, layout discipline, and good old-fashioned hustle.
RE/MAX “Home” Teams Charity Bowling Event Postcard Designed a budget-conscious postcard mailer to promote a local charity bowling event sponsored by RE/MAX “Home” Teams. Back when postcard stamps beat envelope costs, this format offered a punchy, affordable way to drive engagement. I handled design, layout, and production—delivering a piece that balanced playful spirit with event details, all while staying true to grassroots marketing values.
Greeley Tribune Real Estate Feature (Byline Sample, Pre-Digital Era) As an intern reporter for the Greeley Tribune, I wrote monthly real estate columns spotlighting unique properties for the Home section—back when finding a feature-worthy listing meant building real connections, not just doing a quick search. I developed a network of reliable sources who could guide me toward compelling homes, combining old-school research with hands-on outreach. This work showcases not just my writing, but my early foundation in trust-based storytelling, journalistic persistence, and analog hustle in a pre-Google era. It reflects the early foundation of my voice—grounded in journalistic integrity, human connection, and a Gen X refusal to phone it in.
