Welcome to my website!

I am Deputy Director of the ifo Center for Public Economics and Head of Social Policy at the ifo Institute.  I'm a CESifo Research Network Affiliate, Research Associate at ZEW and an IZA Research Fellow.

My research interests are in Public and Labor Economics with particular reference to taxation, social insurance and demographic change, economic and fiscal policy, social policy, and European integration. I am co-founder of the Global Survey of Working Arrangements (G-SWA).
