Matheus Secco

About me

I am currently working at the industry. Previosuly, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Computer Science of the Czech Academy of Sciences, where I worked in the group of Matas Ĺ ileikis. Before that, I did my PhD at PUC-Rio under the supervision of Prof. Simon Griffiths. My research interests lie on extremal/probabilistic combinatorics and tropical geometry. I have worked on problems involving moderate deviations on the count of arithmetic progressions in random sets and also in problems involving roots of divisors in tropical curves. During my postdoc, I also have become interested in problems involving graph limits, graphons and inhomogeneous random graphs. More recently, I have become interested in research connected to Quantitative Finance.
