MatchMVP (“we,” “us,” or “the app”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
Bluetooth Signals (BLE) — used exclusively to detect other app users nearby. We do not determine or store your precise geographic location (GPS/address).
Anonymous User ID — automatically generated through Firebase Anonymous Authentication. It is not linked to your name, email address, or other personal information.
Avatar — each user is randomly assigned an anonymous avatar (such as a fox, bear, or owl) for display within the app.
Phone Number (optional) — disclosed only with the mutual consent of both parties when a match is confirmed. Without mutual consent, your phone number is not shown to anyone.
We never collect or request your exact home address, name, profile photos, or payment information.
We use the collected data to:
Detect nearby app users through Bluetooth and enable anonymous matching.
Send notifications about mutual matches.
Process matching logic through secure server infrastructure (Firebase Cloud Functions), so third parties cannot access match data before the match is confirmed.
Data is stored in Firebase Firestore and protected by security rules that restrict access. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections.
We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes. Data is processed exclusively through Firebase (Google) infrastructure as necessary to operate the app.
You can remove your anonymous presence from the app at any time by deleting the app and its associated data. To request complete deletion of your data, please contact us at the email address provided below.
This app is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at the same link.
