Plant Images
When you take a photo with your camera or select an image from your gallery, that image is sent to our AI processing provider to analyze the plant and provide identification, health diagnosis, and care information. Images are processed to generate your results and are not used to identify you personally.

Voice Input (Speech-to-Text)
If you choose to use the voice input feature to add notes, your device's microphone records audio and converts it to text. This conversion is performed using your device's built-in speech recognition service. We do not store raw audio recordings; only the resulting text note is used as part of your plant analysis request.

Text Notes
Any notes you type or dictate about your plant are sent together with your image to our AI provider to improve the accuracy of the analysis.

Usage and Analytics Data
We use analytics tools to understand how the app is used and to improve it. This may include device information (such as device model, operating system version, and language), app interactions, screens viewed, session duration, and general usage patterns. This data does not include your name or contact details.

Device and Technical Information
We may collect technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, and a non-personal device identifier for analytics and app configuration purposes.

We use the information we collect to:

3. Third-Party Services

Mashtal AI relies on the following third-party services, each of which processes data according to its own privacy policy:

Google (Gemini AI)
Plant images and accompanying text notes are sent to Google's generative AI service to perform the analysis. Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy
We use Firebase for app configuration (Remote Config) and supporting services. Firebase is provided by Google

Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity to collect anonymized analytics about how users interact with the app, which helps us improve the user experience. 

Device Speech Recognition
Voice-to-text conversion is performed using the speech recognition service built into your device's operating system (provided by Google or Apple), subject to their respective privacy policies.

4. Data Storage and Retention

Your plant analysis results are stored locally on your device so you can view your scan history. This local data remains on your device and is removed if you delete the app or clear its data.

Images and notes are sent to our AI provider only to generate your results and are not permanently stored by us in association with your identity. Analytics data is retained by our analytics providers according to their retention policies.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the third-party service providers listed above, and only to the extent necessary to operate the app's features.

6. Permissions

The app requests the following device permissions:

• Camera — to capture photos of plants for analysis

• Photos/Gallery — to let you select existing images for analysis

• Microphone — to enable optional voice input for notes

• Internet/Network — to send analysis requests and load app configuration

You can manage or revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings. Some features will not function without the required permissions.

7. Children's Privacy

Mashtal AI is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.

8. Your Rights
