About Me

Hello! I am an MA student in the Linguistics Department at the University of Kansas. I am interested in sociolinguistics and second language acquisition.

From my perspective, although the United States of America is a predominantly English-speaking country, many immigrant families retain the use of non-English languages at home. These families produce bilingualism in their children, and as the children acquire their bilingualism by natural language acquisition, it is an important area of research in sociolinguistics.
