Maneuvering and Seakeeping Laboratory

MASELA at Pusan National University

  • Seakeeping and Maneuvering of ships

  • Marine Hydrodynamics

  • Nonlinear Ocean Waves

  • Hydro-Elasticity of ships and offshore platforms

Vision

The MASELA endeavors to study the global behaviors of ships and offshore platforms in ocean environments. The final goal is to contribute our knowledge for the safety in maritime, reduction of marine pollution. Different approaches such as theoretical and numerical developments are combined to understand the behavior of marine structures in ocean.

Research Topics

We tackle four research topics nowadays

  • Seakeeping and Maneuvering of ships

  • Marine Hydrodynamics

  • Nonlinear Ocean Waves

  • Hydro-elasticity
