I was genuinely surprised to find a taquería in Vietnam — and even more surprised when it turned out to be good. Being from Mexico, I’m picky when it comes to tacos. I loved hearing that the owner drew her inspiration from Puerto Vallarta, a place I’ve visited before. The fact that the flavor and culture impacted her enough to bring that experience all the way to Vietnam says a lot.

The food? Shockingly delicious. The guacamole hit the right notes, the tacos were flavorful and well-balanced, and even my margarita was on point — not too sweet, not too sour, just right. The staff was warm and welcoming, and I was honestly honored when they asked for my input on a new carnitas taco they’re testing for the menu.

If you’re craving authentic flavors or just want something different from the typical travel food, Masa Taqueria is worth a visit. Would absolutely go back.
