• Education and advising about community resources, such as care placement professionals, health care providers, legal and financial resources, moving specialists, V.A. benefits, specialized medical equipment, transportation, and meal delivery programs 

• Counseling for dealing with changes in physical functioning, debilitating diagnoses such as dementia, role reversals, and avoiding caregiver burnout

• Organization assistance with paperwork (e.g., bills) and general clutter

About me:

I have been practicing social work for over 40 years, primarily in health care.

Social work has been both rewarding and challenging. I have worked in a wide variety of settings including trauma, surgery, orthopedics, intensive care, mental illness, oncology, dementia, and more. Additionally, I have taught classes, mentored SDSU students, worked with most of the larger health care companies in San Diego, and went back to school for a certificate in school social work. 

Working as a clinical social worker in the fields of home health, health care, hospice, and hospital settings has given me the opportunity to work with all age groups and address the diverse health care needs of individuals. I work diligently as an advocate, educator, and consultant by providing clients, family members, and loved ones the support they need during difficult times. Keeping in mind what is best for the client is always my top priority.

Clients have taught me so much over the years. I am as excited about my work today as I was when I started and look forward to providing my services to you and your loved ones.
