Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Siena, Italy. Ph.D. in Economics from the same institution.  Previously, Assistant Professor of Macroeconomics at Bucknell University, United States. Holds a BSc. in Economics from the University of Brasília, Brazil. Research interests range from growth-cycle dynamics in open economies to real-financial market interactions and the economics of climate change. Building on alternative theories of growth and distribution, recent contributions include developing and calibrating nonlinear dynamic models with heterogeneous agents to investigate processes of structural change in modern economies. Scholarly papers have appeared in journals such as the Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, Ecological Economics, Industrial and Corporate Change, Communications in Nonlinear Science and Numerical Simulation, Journal of Evolutionary Economics, Structural Change and Economic Dynamics, among others.
