The game will bring the traditional Assassin's Creed style of gameplay to mobile, as the debut trailer showed stealth-based movement, hand-to-hand combat, and long-range attacks using a bow and arrow. For the first time in the franchise, however, the lead will be fully customizable, as players can design Xia to look however they wish.

Assassin's Creed Codename Jade, the first open-world Assassin's Creed built for iOS and Android, is set in third-century BCE China, following the Warring States period and the unification of China under the Qin dynasty. While it's still in development, registration is now open for the Closed Beta taking place later this summer. The development team is looking for feedback from fans to help them craft the most authentic, experience for Assassin's Creed on mobile yet.

"Our goal is to provide an authentic Assassin's Creed experience on mobile, and we are very proud of what we have already," says Chan. "Fans can expect all the iconic features - assassinations, air assassinations, stealth, parkour, combat mechanics - and we're keeping it narrative-driven."

In a series first, Codename Jade will let players customize their assassin's appearance, and the team is prioritizing touchscreen controls to make sure that Codename Jade's gameplay feels natural to all players. During Ubisoft Forward, the company reveals two mobile games coming to the _________________franchise. New titles like Assassin's Creed Mirage, Codename Red, and Codename Hexe no doubt caught the most attention during the showcase, but Ubisoft's codename Jade and Netflix mobile games shouldn't be counted out either.

Assassin's Creed Jade, for example, may be a mobile game, but it's also an open-world title in the veins of Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla, and the upcoming project Red. It's not certain to what extent, of course, but one could imagine that it plays somewhat like Genshin Impact on mobile devices. AC Jade is set in China, 215 BCE, and it will allow players to customize their own Assassin. Instead of playing a default character like Basim or choosing between gendered characters like Alexios and Kassandra, players will be able to make this character their own and even parkour on the great wall of China. The relevant portion takes place around the 20:45-mark below.

The second title is even more mysterious than Jade. The Ubisoft Showcase gave a brief update on the Assassin's Creed Netflix series, revealing Jeb Stuart's involvement here, and confirmed a "mobile" game for Netflix's platform was in the works. Many know that Netflix has been pushing more and more into games, and Netflix's mobile games are actually quite nice. However, where this game is set or even its code name is not revealed during the showcase, so fans will just have to wait to learn more.

It's also going to be quite the wait. If anything is clear from Ubisoft Forward, it's that the company is betting big on the franchise's future. It discussed Assassin's Creed Valhalla's Last Chapter DLC for 2022 and dove deep into 2023's Assassin's Creed Mirage. Everything else revealed will release sometime after these titles, including the Japanese open-world RPG Red and the mysterious Hexe title, as well as Jade and the Netflix mobile game.

One showcase isn't enough to sway public opinion, but a lot of Assassin's Creed content has been heavily criticized as of late. At the very least, this showcase shows how much of a future the franchise has with traditional titles, big open-world titles, and even in the mobile game space.

Assassin's Creed Jade is bringing the behemoth stealth series to mobile devices with the very first dedicated game in the series for the mobile gaming world. As a result, Jade has the honor of being one of the more unique installments in development.

The first reveal trailer for Assassin's Creed Codename Jade was shared in December 2022, giving the first glimpse at the setting of the game. Transporting players back to 215 B.C., we see what life in Ancient China is like, and after a few cinematic shots of the location we meet the mysterious assassin we assume to be the protagonist of the game. The full trailer can be seen below:

Within this setting, you will take on the role of Xia, an entirely new assassin to the franchise, who you will be responsible for directing through the game. Throughout Codename Jade, you will need to protect your home of Xionanu from raiders while experiencing the trade and cultural exchanges between East and West Xianyang.

With each assassin boasting a unique arsenal of weapons, Xia supports the formula by introducing unique Chinese spears, double swords, and bows to combat. Players can expect to experience a mixture of both signature and exciting new combat mechanics that utilize the touchscreen controls of mobile devices, which hopefully the next overview or teaser will spotlight in more detail.

Assassin's Creed Codename Jade was announced as part of the Ubisoft Forward showcase in 2022, providing the first look at what to expect from the mobile game. We got a glimpse of the setting, alongside an incredibly brief look at the protagonist, before the trailer came to a close and revealed it's coming soon to mobile devices.

AndroidWebsite2________________ is a mobile game developed and published by Gameloft, a sister company of Ubisoft, that was released for keypad-based mobile phones and Android in 2007, alongside the main game. The game loosely follows the main game's plot, featuring Altar Ibn-La'Ahad in the Third Crusade as he tries to redeem his honor and rank by hunting various Templars.

Altar is a member of the Assassin Order, a faction in opposition to the Knights Templar. Before the Third Crusade, he is the most skilled Assassin in the entire Order. After he failed to assassinate Robert de Sabl and led the Templars back to Masyaf, he was demoted, though Altar's master and the Assassins' leader Sinan offered him a task to regain his former reputation. Altar is ordered to kill seven high-ranking Templars scattered throughout the three cities of Acre, Masyaf, and Jerusalem. He first kills Sibrand, William de Montferrat, and Garnier de Naplouse in Acre, then strikes Vizier Abull Aswad and Tamir Bin Musa near Masyaf, and finishes with Maj Aldin, Tallal, and Robert de Sabl in Jerusalem. With his reputation restored and his missions completed, Altar returns to Sinan, only to discover that Sinan is in fact secretly a Templar who had manipulated Altar to eliminate Sinan's former allies to consolidate more power for himself. With this revelation of Sinan's betrayal of the Creed, Altar is forced to confront and kill his former master. With Sinan dead, Altar obtains and hides the treasure he had previously looted from Robert de Sabl: the elusive Piece of Eden capable of altering the world's fate.

Altar uses a Hidden Blade in the assassination of his targets. While not a selectable weapon like the others, the Hidden Blade allows for quick situational or critical kills. The Hidden Blade can also be used as a counter-kill weapon when paired with the sword.

The main games in the 4________________ franchise have received generally positive reviews for their ambition in visuals, game design, and narratives, with criticism for the yearly release cycle and frequent bugs, as well as the prioritising of role-playing mechanics in later titles. The series has received multiple awards and nominations, including multiple Game of the Year awards. It is commercially successful, selling over 200 million copies as of September 2022[update], becoming Ubisoft's best-selling franchise and one of the highest selling video game franchises of all time. While main titles are produced for major consoles and desktop platforms, multiple spin-off games have been released for consoles, mobiles, and handheld platforms. A series of art books, encyclopedias, comics, novelizations, and novels have also been published. A live-action film adaptation of the series, titled 5________________, was released in 2016.

The first 6________________ game originated out of ideas for a sequel for Ubisoft's video game 7___________________________________, aiming for the seventh generation of video game consoles. The Ubisoft Montreal team decided to take the gameplay from 8_________________ into an open-world approach, taking advantage of the improved processing power to render larger spaces and crowds. Narratively, the team wanted to move away from the Prince being someone next in line for the throne but to have to work for it; combined with research into secret societies led them to focus on the Order of Assassins, based upon the historical Hashashin sect of Ismaili, who were followers of Shia Islam, heavily borrowing from the novel 9______.[2][3] Ubisoft developed a narrative where the player would control an Assassin escorting a non-playable Prince, leading them to call this game 10__________________________,[4] or 11___________________________.[5] Ubisoft was apprehensive to a 12________________ game without the Prince as the playable character, but this led the marketing division to suggest the name 13________________, playing off the creed of the Assassins, "nothing is true; everything is permitted". Ubisoft Montreal ran with this in creating a new intellectual property, eliminating the Prince, and basing it around the Assassins and the Knights Templar in the Holy Land during the 12th century. Additionally, in postulating what other assassinations they could account for throughout history, they came onto the idea of genetic memory and created the Animus device and modern storyline elements. This further allowed them to explain certain facets of gameplay, such as accounting for when the player character is killed, similar to 14_________________.[5] 5376163bf9
