The two final Avengers films “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame” have multiple references to various religious themes. On this webpage I will be exploring the themes of sacrifice, myth, symbol, redemption, and resurrection and will be showing the different ways in which these themes are interpreted by different groups throughout the films. I will be making the argument that how Thanos interprets the above themes, compared to the Avengers, shows that Christianity can be easily manipulated to fit one's own ideology.
