I taught a course named "Design and Fabrication of Electronic Devices" where me and my colleague Erik Ilbis taught bachelor students the basics of electronics design and soldering.
In 2016 the course switched over its PCB design software from Eagle CAD to Circuitmaker. Since creating a custom component using Circuitmaker was the hardest but undoubtedly necessary part of the course, I made a video describing the process in detail.
The video shows how to create a micro-USB connector from scratch.
