Assistant Professor of Accounting at Tilburg University
I am an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Tilburg University. My research interests lie at the intersection of accounting and entrepreneurship. I empirically study the role of accounting information in young companies, ranging from initial rounds of financing to IPO processes. In 2016, I visited the Accounting Department at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Kenan-Flagler Business School).
Prior to academia, I first worked as an auditor at PwC and I later developed consulting activities for several public and private institutions, including the design and implementation of the ABC model at the Barcelona City Council. I also cofounded Exoticca, an online travel agency that is now expanding operations across Europe. Aside from my main academic activity, I have been recently involved in the preparation of financial and managerial accounting information for some other startups, both for fundraising and operational purposes.
