Midwest Actuarial Research Seminars

Organizer: Purdue Actuarial Science Program

Date: November 11, 2023

We are delighted to announce a one-day event at the beautiful Purdue West Lafayette campus: Midwest Actuarial Research Seminars. The seminar event will feature a keynote presentation given by Professor Qihe Tang from UNSW Sydney, who has made significant contributions to promote research excellence in the worldwide Actuarial community generally, and among Midwest Actuarial programs particularly. There will also be several contributed talks, delivered by young actuarial faculty from multiple universities.

Our heartfelt hope is that this event will bring Actuarial researchers together, promoting research exchanges that yield innovative, comprehensive, and impactful outcomes, which can further help elevate the visibility of Actuarial research and advance the Actuarial discipline across various fronts of business and risk management innovation.

Acknowledgment: The event would not have been possible without the enthusiastic participation of a supportive group of colleagues within the Midwest Actuarial community. We are also grateful for the generous financial support provided by the Department of Mathematics and the Department of Statistics at the College of Science of Purdue University.
