Maroua Mehri obtained her Habilitation to Conduct Research (HDR) in Computer Systems Engineering from the National Engineering School of Sfax (ENIS) in 2024 and her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of La Rochelle in 2015. She holds an engineering degree in Computer Science from the National Engineering School of Sousse (ENISo) and two M.Sc. degrees in Signal and Image Analysis from the University of Rennes 1 and ENISo.
In 2017, she was appointed as a permanent Assistant Professor in Computer Science in the Computer Engineering Department at ENISo. From October 2021 to June 2022, she served as a guest lecturer (on secondment from ENISo) at the Institute of Digital Sciences, Management & Cognition (IDMC), University of Lorraine. Between July 2022 and November 2024, she worked at Epsidy as an AI Research Scientist, and in October 2025, she joined Telendo as an R&D Engineer.
She is a member of the Laboratory of Advanced Technology and Intelligent Systems (LATIS). Her research focuses on developing AI-driven systems that support decision-making in various computer vision contexts. These systems integrate cutting-edge solutions for segmentation, detection, and pattern recognition in in data of different modalities: image, video, or signal, and having varying levels of structure.
She is the co-inventor of two patents and the co-author of 15 journal articles, 28 conference papers, and 7 workshop papers.
