Welcome to my academic website. My research interests include causality, graphical models, high-dimensional statistics and applications of statistics. 

After studying applied mathematics at the Delft University of Technology (The Netherlands), I obtained a PhD in Statistics from the University of Washington, Seattle (USA). From 2007 to 2022 I was Assistant, Associate and Full Professor of Statistics at ETH Zurich (Switzerland). Please see my CV for more details. 

After a nice sabbatical break, I am now looking for opportunities outside of academia to have a meaningful impact.
