If you want a dedicated swimming device with MP3 playback that stays secure underwater, choose MARLALL Swimming Headphones-Bone Conduction; if you need a high-tech audio companion for land-based sports with a built-in camera and AI translation, choose Wmool E12.
• MARLALL: The undisputed choice for swimmers who need reliable MP3 playback without water damage, though it requires you to switch modes when submerged because Bluetooth does not work underwater.
• Wmool E12: A versatile open-ear headset for runners and cyclists featuring an 8MP POV camera and AI voice tools, but it lacks the specific waterproofing needed for actual lap swimming.
• Best for swimmers: The MARLALL unit is designed specifically for aquatic environments, while the Wmool E12 shines on land where video recording and smart features matter more than submersion.
The MARLALL Swimming Headphones-Bone Conduction are engineered for one primary purpose: keeping you safe and entertained in the water. If you are looking for wireless earbuds for swimming that can actually handle immersion, this is the device that fits that niche. Its design centers around an IP68 waterproof rating, which means it is built to withstand full submersion in pools or saltwater without fear of internal damage. This level of protection is critical because traditional electronics simply cannot survive repeated exposure to chlorinated water or deep dives.
What makes this model unique is its reliance on internal storage rather than wireless streaming when you are below the surface. The device includes 32 GB of built-in MP3 memory, allowing you to load your favorite playlists directly onto the unit. Since Bluetooth signals cannot transmit through water, you must switch to MP3 mode before diving. This isn't a flaw; it is a deliberate engineering choice that ensures your music never cuts out while you are doing laps. The bone conduction driver technology keeps your ears open, which is a vital safety feature for pool environments where hearing splashes or other swimmers is essential.
For parents searching for blue kids headphones or durable gear for active children, this model offers a lightweight, liquid silicone construction that feels skin-friendly and resists pressure points. Weighing only about 22.68 grams, the headphones are so light you might forget they are there during long training sessions. They come in a Purple color option that stands out visually, making them easy to spot if dropped in a crowded locker room. However, you should skip this product if your main goal is to record videos or listen to music via Bluetooth while fully submerged, as the hardware simply does not support those functions underwater. It is also worth noting that after every swim, you must dry the microphone thoroughly to ensure clear calls later, as moisture management is key to longevity.

The Wmool E12 targets a completely different demographic: the outdoor enthusiast who wants to document their journey while staying connected. If your routine involves running, cycling, or hiking where you need hands-free recording capabilities, this headset transforms from simple audio gear into a smart action camera. The standout feature here is the integrated 8MP camera with Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), capable of capturing stable 1080P footage at 30 frames per second. This allows you to secure real-time Point-of-View (POV) memories on trails or roads without ever needing to hold a phone, which is a game-changer for solo athletes who want to capture their workouts.
Beyond just recording, the Wmool E12 integrates artificial intelligence to assist with communication. It supports instant bilingual voice translation powered by OpenAI, which helps users navigate foreign gyms or read signs during international travel. This "AI Intelligent Voice" capability turns the headphones into a conversation partner, bridging language gaps while you exercise. The device uses ABS material for its earhooks, providing a non-slip fit that remains secure even during high-impact movements. With a battery life offering up to 10 hours of continuous music or calling, it is robust enough for long endurance events or full-day adventures.
However, this versatility comes with trade-offs regarding aquatic use. While it features an open-ear design that is comfortable for all-day wear, it does not carry the same IP68 waterproof certification designed for submersion found in the MARLALL. It is built for sweat resistance and rain, not for being dunked in a pool. If you are looking for sweat resistant bluetooth headphones for workout sessions on dry land, the Wmool E12 excels with its Hi-Fi stereo sound and spatial audio resolution. It is perfect for city commuters who need to stay aware of traffic while listening to podcasts, but it is not the right tool for underwater activities. The 8GB internal memory is sufficient for storing photos and short clips, but it is not intended for massive offline music libraries like the 32 GB found in the MARLALL.
• Best for underwater swimming → MARLALL Swimming Headphones-Bone Conduction. Only the MARLALL offers true IP68 protection and 32 GB of storage for offline MP3 playback, which is mandatory since Bluetooth fails underwater.
• Best for video creation and vlogging → Wmool E12. The built-in 8MP camera with EIS stabilization allows for hands-free POV recording, a feature the MARLALL completely lacks.
• Best for battery longevity → Wmool E12. With a 220mAh battery supporting up to 10 hours of playback, it offers extended usage for long runs, whereas the MARLALL focuses on durability over raw playtime hours.
• Best for smart features and translation → Wmool E12. The integration of AI for voice translation and photo identification provides utility that goes far beyond simple music playback.
• Best for lightweight comfort in water → MARLALL Swimming Headphones-Bone Conduction. The liquid silicone build and 22.68g weight make it ideal for prolonged submersion without causing ear fatigue or slipping.
• Best for open-ear situational awareness → Both, but Wmool E12 prioritizes urban safety with its open-ear hook design for road cycling, while MARLALL prioritizes pool safety by ensuring you can hear surroundings while submerged.
• Best connectivity range → MARLALL. It utilizes Bluetooth 5.4 for a stable connection up to 10 meters (33 feet) on land, whereas the Wmool E12 focuses on app integration for its smart features.
• Best value for multi-purpose land use → Wmool E12. If you want one device for music, calls, and video recording on land, the extra functionality justifies the choice over a single-purpose swimmer.
After weighing the specifications and intended use cases, I would buy the MARLALL Swimming Headphones-Bone Conduction if my primary goal was getting into the water safely. The ability to store 32 GB of music locally and the IP68 rating make it a specialized tool that no other competitor matches for swimming. However, if I were looking for a device for kids with microphone capabilities that could also double as a camera for their outdoor adventures, the Wmool E12 would be my pick due to its AI features and recording ability. In my opinion, the MARLALL is the superior choice for anyone serious about lap swimming, as it solves the fundamental problem of how to listen to music underwater reliably. For everyone else who stays on land, the Wmool E12 offers a richer set of modern smart features.
