If you want waterproof ear clip headphones for switch capable of taking you deep underwater with an internal MP3 player, choose MARLALL Soft Liquid Silicone; if you need versatile Bluetooth sport headphones that stay connected to your phone while hiking or running, choose Yorlu Bone Conduction Headphones. This decision isn't about which brand is more popular or cheaper right now; it is strictly about whether your primary activity happens in a pool or on dry land.
• MARLALL Soft Liquid Silicone: Its biggest strength is true IPX8 submersion capability paired with 32GB of internal storage for offline music, but its trade-off is the lack of Bluetooth connectivity when wet and no wireless streaming from phones.
• Yorlu Bone Conduction Headphones: Its biggest strength is seamless Bluetooth 5.4 streaming with a long 10-hour battery life for all-day use, but its trade-off is an IP56 rating that resists sweat and rain but cannot handle full immersion.
• Best for: MARLALL fits the serious swimmer who needs to leave their phone behind; Yorlu fits the runner, cyclist, or hiker who wants to stay connected to calls and playlists.
The MARLALL Soft Liquid Silicone model is engineered for one specific environment: water. This isn't just splash-proof; it means the unit can be fully submerged without risk of damage. This makes it the only logical choice for anyone looking for best kids headphones for switch or adult gear specifically designed for swimming, snorkeling, or surfing. The design relies on a skin-friendly liquid silicone overmold that wraps around the ear, distributing pressure evenly so it doesn't slip even during vigorous laps.
However, this specialization comes with a significant operational constraint. The device operates in MP3 mode only when underwater. You cannot stream audio via Bluetooth while submerged because the water interferes with the signal. Instead, you must load your own playlists directly onto the built-in 32GB internal storage. This requires a computer connection via the magnetic charging cable to manage your files. Once loaded, you get up to 7 hours of continuous playback after just 1.5 hours of charging. This is perfect for long training sessions where you don't want to carry a phone into the pool.

This product is ideal for the athlete who prioritizes safety and environmental awareness in the water. The open-ear design ensures you remain aware of your surroundings, such as other swimmers or lifeguards, while listening to music. If you are someone who hates the feeling of traditional buds blocking your ears, this ultra-lightweight option (weighing only 22.68 grams) offers a barrier-free experience. However, if your daily routine involves running outside in the rain or commuting, this unit might feel too specialized and cumbersome since you would have to manually transfer music rather than pairing instantly with your phone.
In contrast, the Yorlu Bone Conduction Headphones are built for the active lifestyle on land. The defining feature here is the Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. This modern standard promises a fast, stable link to your smartphone, tablet, or laptop, allowing you to stream music, audiobooks, and podcasts wirelessly without any cables or pre-loading steps. The battery life supports this usage pattern perfectly, offering up to 10 hours of playtime on a single charge. With a standby time of 240 hours, you can go days between charges even if you aren't using them daily. The Type-C charging port adds convenience, ensuring you can use a standard cable found in most households.
Durability is handled through an IP56 rating, which protects against dust and powerful water jets, making it sweat-proof and rain-resistant. This is sufficient for intense workouts, hot summer runs, or hiking trails where weather conditions change. The physical construction uses a memory titanium frame that can flex to fit various head shapes securely. Weighing in at 28 grams, they remain lightweight enough for all-day wear, supported by soft silicone cushions that prevent irritation. The open-ear design keeps your ear canal clear, maintaining situational awareness while you cycle or run near traffic.
This product is the clear winner for users who value convenience and versatility over total submersion. It is not suitable for swimming, as the IP56 rating explicitly states it is not for underwater use. If you are looking for earphones for switch activities like gym workouts, jogging, or outdoor adventures where you want to hear your music and still talk to friends nearby, these are the ones to grab. The open-ear design eliminates the "plugged-up" feeling common with in-ear buds, making them comfortable for extended periods. However, the sound quality relies entirely on bone conduction technology, which some users find lacks the bass depth of traditional sealed headphones, though the manufacturer claims a fully enclosed cavity helps deliver premium loud sound.

I would buy the Yorlu Bone Conduction Headphones for my daily life because the ability to stream wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.4 is non-negotiable for a versatile companion. While the MARLALL is impressive for swimming, its requirement to manually load tracks limits its utility for general use. However, if your primary goal is to swim laps without carrying a phone, the MARLALL is the superior tool for that specific task. Ultimately, for the average user seeking earphones for switch activities like running, cycling, or working out in the gym, the Yorlu offers the flexibility and battery life needed for a complete day of activity. The MARLALL remains a niche specialist for the water, but the Yorlu is the practical choice for the rest of the world.
Only the MARLALL Soft Liquid Silicone is suitable for swimming due to its IPX8 waterproof rating and internal MP3 storage. The Yorlu model is only IP56 rated and should not be submerged.
Yes, if you choose the MARLALL, you must copy music files to the 32GB internal storage using a computer before swimming. The Yorlu streams directly from your phone via Bluetooth, so no pre-downloading is needed.
The Yorlu offers up to 10 hours of continuous playback, while the MARLALL provides up to 7 hours. Both support fast charging, with the MARLALL reaching full capacity in about 1.5 hours.
Both models feature soft silicone cushions and open-ear designs to prevent ear fatigue. The MARLALL weighs 22.68g and the Yorlu weighs 28g, making both lightweight options for extended use.
