I just love a good adventure. The magic system is spectacular and simple. The lore of this world is ever fascinating. Questions that are begging to be answered about Alex's homeland, this great enemy that they face, the gods of this world.
I really enjoyed the book. I liked the interplay between Alex and the other characters, and the progression and personal growth. I enjoyed reading about Alex coming to terms with the Mark and his creativity in learning to live with it. I'm looking forward to book 2.

A bit to early for a proper review as there are only 16 chapter as of time of writing this review. I like this novel, it has big potential, characters are likeable and concept is very intriguing. I will edit this review regularly as more and more chapters are released.
You ever start to pick up novel to read the first chapter to check it out, then an hour later you decide, this is my day now. Instant classic coming of age, orphan Alex has his life shattered by becoming a marked man. Goes from being on the run to learning to control his power, and how to protect himself and those he cares for. Isn't afraid to use a trope or cliche in a wholesome or cringey way. Top tier writing and plot, great characters with a diverse cast that isn't wooden or forgettable. Reading this breathed fresh hope that fantasy was still fun to read. The best web novel of in my humble opinion, not really one for the wish I could do something again for the first time but kind of works with reading this. Anyways suffice to say it's a blast if you like wizards & warriors, while Alex is limited offensively he's a creative combatant. Be sure to check this out and rate it, at least give a chapter or two a quick read to see what it's about, legit \"I Came Looking For Copper And I Found Gold\". This book can get serious too with the subject matter, and never felt too bogged down. Going back to read more of this page turner that keeps cooking.

Rare it is to get a story as such. Thank you for such awesome work. I will not get into the story as it is the duty of the reader to enjoy at its own pace, but give this one a chance and you might find it a diamond in making.
I'm so glad I found this story. Not a single chapter has been disappointing. Even after 700+ chapters, none of the characters have ever done anything frustratingly stupid and predictable. The plot subverts expectations in a truly delightful way. I absolutely adore all the cheeky little references, including a wizard commenting that to simulate magical battles on paper would probably require the use of a system of dice. It's clear that the author has as much fun writing as we do reading
An amazing mix of humor, serious themes handled with tact, outstanding characterization even for side characters, and an exploration of family that I honestly wasn't expecting.
I love everything about this series. Except that there are not more chapters out yet!

This is a very good story, a well established worldbuilding, fantastic character who you could relate to, conflicts of highs and lows and a moral dilemma of whether or not should laugh to a pun. One aspect that stand out in this story is the unique properties of its setting and how the rabbit holes goes in the mystery this world entails. You'll never know what's going to happen next as it is as unpredictable as life. Have a good read ;)
This book is awesome the whole storyline is good and really pulls you in every step the MC takes. The story has built in a couple of clues throughout that make you feel like you are kind of figuring out what happens next but then it just throws everything for a loop last minute and it is great!!
