Dr. Mariselvam Arumuga
I am a passionate educator in Electrical Engineering, dedicated to both teaching and advancing research in power systems. I hold a Ph.D. as a Prime Minister’s Research Fellow (PMRF) from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, India.
Currently, I serve as a Assistant Professor at Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering, Chennai. My primary research interest lies in transmission line protection, with a particular focus on distance protection. I am especially interested in developing advanced distance protection algorithms suited for future power grids with high penetration of renewable energy sources.
I completed my B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Chirala Engineering College (affiliated with JNTU Kakinada) and my M.E. in Power System Engineering from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai.
In addition to teaching and research, I am keenly interested in offering consultancy and professional training in Electrical Engineering, aiming to bridge the gap between academic concepts and practical industry applications.
