My research focuses on the empirical investigation of a variety of phenomena in behavioral economics. I am fascinated by using innovative data and modern microeconometric methods to answer important questions in the fields of behavioral economics, labor economics, and personnel economics. I use data from professional sports as a laboratory to measure economic decisions and their consequences.
Since 2013 I have the pleasure to lead the Austrian National Bank project Relative Performance Feedback and Economic Decisions and the Johannes Kepler University (Linz). In this project, I and my international co-authors investigate the effect of interim relative performance on agents' decisions in competitive environments.
